Warm, sparkling and hilarious, Juliette is an ever-popular speaker in schools. She readily connects with her young audience and her presentations inspire both children and teachers alike. She is the author of more than 25 books.
Predominantly a writer of picture books, she recently released a middle-grade fiction series with Scholastic. Juliette is published in ten countries in seven languages and has won multiple awards, including twice winning Best Picture Book at the New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults, and making the shortlist on three other occasions. She has won a Storylines Notable Book Award seven times, and gained international recognition in 2023 with a White Raven for The Grizzled Grist Does Not Exist. A mother of four, former English language teacher and yoga teacher, Juliette recently gained a Master of Arts in linguistics. She has several other talents which she is oddly proud of but which are yet to prove useful: she can do the splits, sing a folk song backwards, and solve the Rubik’s cube blindfolded.
